Homework

After a busy Homecoming weekend, there are always a few guys doing homework. Today those boys were my roommate and I. Bummer!

Homecoming Football Game

Today the ONU Tigers played Saint Francis. We got beat pretty badly. The game was fun to watch though!

Homecoming Chapel

Today we had the homecoming chapel service. This was also the dedication service for the new Centennial Chapel! It is so beautiful! here is a quick glance. It was an amazing service with great music!

My Blanket

I have a cool quilt that uses my old high school cross country shirts. It is neat.

New Parking Lot

Since Olivet is going to be building a new Rec Center in a place where we have a lot of parking now, they are currently building a new parking lot over where they had some practice fields. They have been busy for about a month now.

Unique Sunset

After a windy and stormy day on campus, the sunset kind of squeezed through the clouds and illuminated the water tower. It looked really nice!

Church Music Night!

Tonight Liz and I played our instruments at the All Church Music Night. It was a blast! I enjoyed hearing Liz play her clarinet. She did a great job!

The Race

The girls team ran fantastic today! They even won the meet!!! It was exciting.

Night Before the Race

The night before a race we just hang out in the lobby of the hotel we stay in. Rago was being a goof last night. This is also practicing the pictures for my next motion project.

Burning the Midnight Oil

In class we have been talking a lot about lighting. Also, we are starting to work with people's portraits. So, in a combination work, here is my roommate Ryan, burning the midnight oil.

Ghosts in Chapel

In chapel today I as experimenting with the movement project, and I thought it was kind of cool. It looks like there are ghosts!

The next project I have for the class is one that incorporates movement. This is a really weird one, but I'll try. Oh, Nate says Hi!

Fall has come and the leaves have gone... well, at least they have started changing colors.

Dinner

Today after church, Liz and I decided that with the amount of homework we each had to do it was better not to hang out this afternoon. We did decide we would bike to dinner together. I enjoyed riding with her. We don't get the chance very often. It was fun.

Race Day!

Yesterday we ran at a Cross Country meet in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. It is a fast course with lots of competition. This is a picture of the girls race, and you can see the "train" of runners extend around the picture in the background. There were about 500 runners in that race. Total participants (both races) : 1200 runners. It was insane!

When we travel to our cross country meets, we always do it in a charter bus. This is typically what it looks like.

Tonight, I thought it would be cool to take out my tripod and take a picture with a really slow shutter speed. So, this is the front of my apartment in the dark.

Studyscape

I have been in the habit to bring very little of my homework outside of the classroom. What I end up doing is going into the physics lab and working on my homework there. It is really quite nice.

On my way home from dinner tonight, I looked up at the sky and was amazed at the beauty of it! I thought I would share it!

The Traveling Nut

I was walking down a dirt road when I noticed something peculiar. It was a lonely nut in the middle of the road. It looked pretty cool, so I took a picture of it. It looks like it has a face and its own personality!

Fall in Indiana

This morning when I went for my run I noticed all the trees that looked on fire. All the leaves were changing, and it was beautiful! Here is a picture of a tree in Liz's neighborhood.

Beasley's Orchard

Today we went to Beasley's Apple Orchard. We went through the corn maze, had cold apple cider, and had some pork burgers. It was a great time. This picture is of the pumpkins we could pick. They had a great selection with huge pumpkins! It was fun!

Dairy Queen

Today is the Friday before fall break. For my only class today we turned in the take home test were were to turn in, and we walked across the street to enjoy some Dairy Queen!! This was the perfect class before fall break!

Afternoon Practice

Today for practice we had a simple 45 min run. Afterward, the sun was low in the sky and I liked the lighting. The team was waiting around for others to come and go lift.

Blog Post Number 2

For our second blog post for class we have to experiment with the Depth of Field. Depth of Field has to do with what is in focus. You can have only one thing in focus and nothing else (narrow depth of field) or you can have everything from a mm in front of your lens to miles from your lens in focus (wide depth of field). This picture shows the narrow depth of field.

Hills Hall

Today I was walking to lunch, and I thought I would take a few random pictures. This one is of a light on campus right in front of Hills Hall, one of the upperclassmen guys dorms. It was a nice day!

Our Office gets used :(

Today is the first time this semester that all of the roommates in the apartment actually worked on homework at the same time. We were all at our desks working diligently. As you can see, Mark (left) and Ryan (right) don't even know I took the picture!

Laundry Party!!

Just like every person, I have to do laundry. So does my roommate. So, as is expected, we had a laundry party!!!

Campus Construction

ONU is in the process of upgrading its campus. They have laid brick streets and have completely redone the landscaping. They are now also making updates to the campus bell tower.

Broadway Revue

Tonight the ONU Drama department had a show they have every year. I enjoyed it! Here is a picture of the original setup.
