Sweet Video Game!

At the Engineering Expo in Chicago today I saw this awesome video game. I'd like it in my apartment!

Sunset from a birds eye!

Today I had the great opportunity to fly an airplane!!! I went up and saw the Bourbonnais area from the sky. It was amazing! This is the sunset I witnessed up there in the sky.

My Living Room

This year I really focused on our living room. I wanted it to be a room where we can relax and be comfortable. My roommate Ryan makes it obvious that he thinks it is!

The Thing Project

On Monday I have a project due in class where we take photos of what is important to us. I experimented with various themes, and this is one of the photos I took. Also, this picture was take yesterday, but was not put up until today due to a busy day yesterday.

Team Camp!

Today we had a race in the Quad Cities! We ran well! Guys placed 4th without our lead guy, who was sick, and the girls placed 3rd! Cross Country is a lot of fun!

A Great Morning

This morning when I got back from morning practice I was greeted by a beautiful sunny scene. It cheered me up!

Dishes!!

Here at the apartment we typically don't eat any meals. Sometimes we do catch bit here. This is when, just like everywhere else, we pile up the dishes. Nate is being a great roommate and is washing them for us! :)

Trouble

Tonight I am having an issue with posting my picture of the day on my post. The text will work, but the picture won't attach. I took the picture, but I guess I'll have to try to post it tomorrow. Sorry folks!

Homework

As an Engineering student I get lots of homework. The funny thing though is that one problem can take hours. This homework is one problem. Enjoy it as much as I did!! Oh, also this is yesterday's picture. (I'm late with posting)

Fall Revival

Tonight was the 4th revival service for the Fall Revival. The speaker is Dr. Jim Deahl, who knows Grandpa and Grandma! The photo is of the sanctuary of the church right before we started.

A Rainy Day

Today two of my roommates and I rode our bikes to Davis Creek. When we got there it started pouring down rain. We got soaked. Nate and Ryan helped me by posing in some of the pictures. This picture is of the river. Find Nate if you can!

Illinois State Cross Country Meet

Today we had a meet in Bloomington, Illinois. It was an invitational for all the universities in the state. We ran well! The team placed third in the college division. This is one of our boys, Jake, preparing for the race!

The Key to Success

I have been working on a project for class where I'm working on composition. So, I've been looking for the key to doing a good job.

As an Engineering major, most of the time I have is spent doing homework. This is my roommate working on his homework.

Composition Practice

In class today we talked about composition and how to make photographs interesting. I shot quite a few pictures, some which turned out really well. This one is of the Kelly Prayer Chapel, and is a little different than I would usually see it as.

Sunday Dinner!

This year Olivet added a day to the Open House schedule. On Sundays from 1 to 6 pm the apartments are open to visitors! Today Liz and I made our Sunday dinner at her apartment. We had mac-n-cheese and grilled Brats! It was fantastic!

The New Chapel!

Olivet is building a new chapel for its campus. It is nearly finished, and the workers are primarily landscaping. The building is really nice. These pictures were taken around dinnertime.

First Cross Country Meet!

Today was the first Cross Country meet!!! I ran well! I ran a time of 26:33 in an 8K race. Anyway, this picture is of Toby the Tiger, Olivet's Mascot, who was stretching with the team before the race.

Morning Practice

For Cross Country we have 6 am morning practices. We usually see nice sunrises, and other morning sights that people don't otherwise see. Today the sprinklers were going on the football field, and I thought it looked nice. So, I tried to take a picture.
